Craft time

I took advantage of my son's nap time today and got some creating done. My daughter joined me at my art desk to watch while I worked.



I bought a big bag of beautiful buttons on Etsy, so I wanted to make something with those. I have an obsession with buttons so I like to come up with lots of ideas of things to make with them. I love crafts and getting the time to be able to create lovely things. If I was rich I'd spend all my money on supplies or art instead of clothes and jewelry like a lot of women. 


I started by making a button headband with some supplies my mom got me on clearance at Hobby Lobby (SCORE!). I used a ribbon wrapped headband, buttons, flowers and hot glue. I decided to call it Spring Awakened, because the flowers and colors are so fitting for the upcoming season.

I also made some button bobby pins with some pretty blue buttons.

Keeping with my button trend, I got started on some earrings. I made three pair of post button earrings and two pair of hook earrings. One with green star buttons and feather charms and one pair with orange, yellow and pink buttons connected with jump rings.
